How to list your domain names at Sedo.com

by How To Domain Names on December 16, 2009

I just realized that a lot of people are finding my site by searching “how to push domain from godaddy to sedo”. My guess is that what people are actually trying to find out is how to add domains to their Sedo.com account, that are registered at Godaddy.com.

So, here’s how to do that. I’m going to show you how to do it with a domain name registered with Godaddy.com, however, this can be done with any registrar or reseller.

Log in to your Godaddy.com account and go to your Domain Manager.

Select the domain or domains that you wish to add to your Sedo.com account and click “Nameservers”.

Tick the box “I host my domains with another provider”

In Nameserver 1: type in NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM and in Nameserver2: Type in NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM as shown below.

Now it’s time to add these domain names to your account at Sedo.com.

Log in to your Sedo.com account with your Username and Password.

Now ad your domain or domains, check the agreement box (this is just pablum), and click next.

On the next screen you’re going to be able to set things such as the asking price and minimum offer and also Master Category. This is very important if you domain receives traffic and you want your landing page targeted to potential visitors. You want to be honest about what people are probably looking for when they visit your domain name.

For instance, if you park Tomato.com, you don’t want them to see ads for Mesothelioma. This might seem like a good idea because of the imcredibly high price of such a keyword but trust me you will never see any clicks on a link that has nothing whatsoever to do with your domain name.

After you’re finished, just click next and Sedo.com will supply you with some info for how to set your Nameservers at your registrar, this is something we have already done earlier.

That’s it!
