How to search Whois Database from your desktop

There is a terrific tool from Domaintools.com that allows you to perform a Whois search right from your desktop. It’s called DomainTools for Windows and it can be downloaded here.

Once installed this little tool will reside in your Taskbar and you can call upon it by clicking the icon. A small popout box will allow you to search by domain name or IP Address.

All in all it’s pretty cool, I guess I still prefer searching at their site directly but this could save a few seconds for many domainers’ and time is one of our most cherished commodities, or is that Gold?
